Telework is a concept near and dear to my heart, as I’m a firm believer that productivity increases and costs decrease by telework. Happier employees equal more productive employees, decreasing a company’s costs and increasing the bottom line. While some agencies in government have embraced the concept, others are a bit slower on the uptake. However, GSA has created a model that may make it easier for other federal agencies to adopt telework policies. These policies may create many more opportunities for government contractors to assist with infrastructure implementation, further drive towards “the cloud,” custom and off the shelf software initiatives to make telework easier, and of course cyber security implementation.
